Tailgate Handle Covers

Give your tailgate handle extra shine and a longer life with our chrome-finished, ABS-constructed handle covers. Think of it as armor that easily fits over the handle you have. ABS plastics balance toughness with stability and are known to provide excellent insulation.

Tailgate handles can and do fall off or crack. All that yanking and slamming can and does impact their durability over time. And like a missing car door handle, a missing tailgate handle looks, well, terrible. And on many trucks, that tailgate handle is the only way inside!

Options for Replacing Broken Tailgate Handles

You can replace a broken tailgate handle with the proper OEM part for your model or with a custom tailgate handle relocator. We offer OEM replacements for virtually all truck models as well as customized replacement handles. If you choose an OEM part, we highly recommend that you select a stainless steel replacement over a plastic one if it's available. Steel is tougher and will last longer, particularly in cold climates that can snap apart plastic pieces.

You may also want to add locks to your new handle for additional security. We provide this to many customers who store materials in their trucks. We can also customize a tailgate handle relocator for your truck, which moves the handle to the other side of the tailgate and inside the truck bed. This gives the back of the truck a completely smooth look and hides access to the bed.

Installation Options

If you aren't local to our shops in Miami, Florida and Bowie, Maryland, we will ship a new tailgate handle or relocator kit to you with instructions. Replacing a tailgate handle is much less complicated than replacing a car door handle and we will gladly provide instructions for you. We may also be able to recommend a local installer. We also offer installation onsite here in our shop to local customers.
